In this chapter a physically disabled painter, author, and disability rights campaigner reports on her life and her relationship with brain–computer interfaces. She reports on the ups and downs of dealing with her illness and what the opportunity to paint again with the aid of a computer means to her. She develops her own vision of how the widespread use of BCIs can make life rich, interesting, and comfortable even with severe physical impairments.
