Maturity

Guy André Boy

pp. 131-152

Abstrakt

This chapter presents an approach of product maturity that takes into account user experience. Socio-technical systems evolve concomitantly with the emergence of new practices. This point is analyzed for tangible interactive systems (TISs) and extended to everyday contemporary appliances. A product is judged sufficiently mature by its users, when it is sustainably accepted for safe, efficient, and comfortable use.
