A legal semiotics vocabulary

Jan BroekmanLarry Catà Backer

pp. 233-241

Abstrakt

The following are some of the most predominant concepts that can be found in a vocabulary of legal semiotics in practice. Semioticians debate the meaning and definition of these concepts inspired by linguistics, medicine, social sciences, politics and law. Notice, that those of them who focus on law and legal discourse do in the overwhelming majority of cases not practice law. Practitioners of law do in general not participate in this type of reflection.
