Abstrakt
Information technologies (ITs) are among the most important scientific-technological developments of the past forty years. Beside their technical importance, they are also ubiquitous in influence. This social influence is both vertical — i.e., throughout various levels of the economy and society — and horizontal — on living conditions in all countries and societies.
