Rules of law
just and unjust
pp. 95-102
Abstrakt
The rule of law is, of course, the political regime under which most people observe the laws, whether good or bad. We all benefit by the rule of law, for it gives us security, right? Of course, as long as the state itself is not criminal. If it is, if our government is oppressive or predatory, some of us will try to break the law. For example, we will cheat, bribe, hide, or even go into exile. Hence the rule of law is not an absolute good, right? We shall see.
