20th-century natural law theory in Latin America
pp. 1227-1241
Abstrakt
Natural law theory was the dominant trend in Latin America throughout the colonial period. In fact, at the universities founded by the Spanish crown—especially in those in New Spain (Mexico), Peru, and Cordoba (Argentina) — scholars lectured on theologia moralis, or ius naturae, expounding the contents of what today is known as natural law theory.
