The physis of consciousness and metaphysics

pp. 99-117

Abstrakt

Heidegger once defined phenomenology as possibility. He says in Sein und Zeit: "Higher than reality stands possibility. The understanding of phenomenology lies solely in grasping it as possibility."1I think that this is the best possible definition of phenomenology. It means that to "do phenomenology" is to construe it as a possibility, and to develop that possibility. In this paper, I would like to develop the possibility of phenomenology as a "metaphysics."
